Mexico launches committee to implement US migration deal

Mexico said Tuesday it has launched a committee to implement its deal with the United States on curbing undocumented migration in return for a reprieve from President Donald Trump's threatened tariffs. President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador named Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard -- his point man for the negotiations in Washington that produced Friday's deal -- as the top official on the committee. It will also include the military commander for the southern border state of Chiapas and high-level labor, social welfare and prison officials.
